Reports & Metrics
An evidence conflict should mean a concrete contradiction in business facts, not simply weak evidence or missing information.
A real conflict happens when two sources disagree on a fact that matters for trust or citation. Examples include different official websites, different addresses, conflicting phone numbers, mismatched opening hours, inconsistent service availability, contradictory pricing, or unclear eligibility.
Missing evidence is different. If no source confirms an FAQ page, that is a coverage gap. If one AI source is unsure, that is low confidence. Neither should be presented as an evidence conflict.
A useful conflict finding names the disputed fact, the sources involved, the likely risk, and the recommended manual check.
For example, if one source shows one address while another cites a different outlet, the report points the user toward the official contact page and Google Business Profile for verification.
AI systems are more likely to avoid firm recommendations when basic facts are inconsistent. Even if the business is legitimate, conflicting evidence can make the answer less confident or push the model toward better-documented competitors.
Cleaning conflicts is often a high-leverage GEO task because it improves entity clarity before content expansion work begins.
